Exclamation Bill on Balochistan's right to be free on the anvil in U.S. Congress

Bill on Balochistan's right to be free on the anvil in U.S. Congress

The military generals at the GHQ in Rawalpindi will most likely face sleepless months ahead as a historic bill will be introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives calling upon Pakistan to recognize the right of self-determination for Balochistan.

Some U.S. legislators and their staff were busy working on a resolution Thursday to be tabled in the U.S. parliament with the aim to end Pakistan's genocidal politics in Balochistan.

"It will be something much, much bigger in scope than what happened at the hearing of the Oversight and Investigations Committee," a congressional staffer told this correspondent.

Islamabad was stunned at the hat trick by Baloch politicians when the issue of Balochistan was discussed by the Oversight and Investigations Committee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on February 8.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, who is chair of the sub-committee, and four other U.S. congressmen Louie Gohmert, Ted Poe, Brad Sherman and Russ Carnahan blasted Pakistan over the human rights violations in Balochistan and called for the right to self-determination for Balochistan at the February 8 hearing.

The hearing enjoyed massive public support in Balochistan.

All the major stakeholders in Balochistan including "Baloch Nelson Mandela" Sardar Akhtar Mengal, Hyrbyair Marri, and Dr. Jumma Marri, among others, welcomed the hearing on Balochistan at the U.S. Congress.

Pakistan ambassador to the U.S. Sherry Rahman, Pakistani Senator Mian Raza Rabbani and leader of the opposition in Pakistan national assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, castigated the U.S. for interfering in the" internal affairs" of Pakistan.

A cacophony of chorus against the U.S. hearting has started. Pakistan's national assembly unanimously adopted a resolution against the hearing on a resolution moved by Chaidhry Nisar Ali Khan, who has military links.

It is extremely rare that a resolution tabled by a leader of the opposition gets unanimosuly adopted -- a pointer that Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence was behind it.

However, to most Baloch what matters most is the two houses of Balochistan’s traditional parliament, Diwan-i-Aam and Diwan-i-Khas had unanimously rejected the idea of a merger with Pakistan in 1947.

The drive for historic justice for Balochistan steamed up in Berlin when a group of U.S. legislators called upon the De Jure Ruler of Balochistan, the Right Honorable Khan of Kalat Mir Suleman Daud Ahmadzai -- reverentially called "Khan Sahib" by the Baloch people -- on the sidelines of a conference of Afghanistan’s Northern Alliance.

The Khan of Kalat enjoys the same status of respect late King Zahir Shah enjoyed in Afghanistan. In fact, the two families are related.

Balochistan, in the words of the "Uncle of Baloch" Selig S. Harrison, director at the Center for International Policy, is extremely "sexy" in terms of its geostrategic location as its coastline forms the upper lip of the vital sea lane called the Straits of Hormuz.

The British left Balochistan divided in three parts. The part under Pakistani military occupation is the size of New Mexico, the part under Iranian occupation is the size of Nevada and the part with Afghanistan is the size of West Virginia.

Iran forcibly occupied Balochistan after a revolt was brutally crushed there in 1929 while Pakistan invaded and annexed Balochistan on March 27, 1948. The Baloch have risen up in arms against the Pakistani occupation and the struggle for independence continues there to this day.

Pakistani media closely linked with I.S.I. were nervous over the spate of developments on Balochistan in Washington DC and were claiming that the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency has embarked on a Southern Sudan-style split of Balochistan from Pakistan.

Both Pakistan and Iran are equally concerned.

As I think more about this one ...this looks like a Tactical move by America to shift Pakistan's focus from Afghanistan..now that this resolution is passed Pakistanis Intelligence agencies will focus their energies back home.....they would not want another Bangladesh to happen to them.....America has learnt from India Pakistan situation.....have you guys noticed that since Pakistan is burning in its own hell.....things are quiet on our side....may be Americans notice this and they have devised a strategy to throw Pakistan out of Afghanistan.

As it was said on PDF.

This is anything but righteous, this really has nothing to do with the welfare of the Baloch, it's just politics, Pakistan is the new punch bag.

These congressmen can't even find Balochistan on the map, let alone know anything about them.

If so, why the hell are you guys F**king us Indians? We do not supply to them baloch. Its USA who is doing it. They need Baluchistan now as Pak has stopped supplies thru their territory. Greater Baluchistan means killing two birds with one stone, Pakistan and Iran. It will happen. Pakistanies have hated wrong people all this while and have had bedfellows who just waited to stab them. We Indians are not responsible for it. You chose your bedfellows, we did not trap you.
You live and die with whom you chose to be your friends. Its Judgement day for Pak. All the ammo to BLA is being supplied by ISAF, if you can trust me. They are doing to Pak what Pak did to them by fostering Taliban. This is what is called, "Paying one in its own coin". Pls for the sake of Allah, stop blaming India.
We are your brothers. We may be having estranged relationship but we will never ever wish your downfall.

Not really, I dont know where Balochistan is or what it is, but if they are fighting for democracy and against tyranny, then I support them. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said. Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what's right. Brigham Young

Supporting people that struggle for freedom and against oppression is the right thing to do and any one or any country that does not do that is not doing the right thing.
